 Overview

The Alzheimer's Activity Center provides therapeutic activities to seniors with Alzheimer's disease and related memory loss. The services include adult day care activities that:

  • enhance the use of cognitive skills;
  • stimulate interaction on personal and group levels;
  • encourage mobility and stability;
  • and provide monitoring and assistance in the areas of nutrition and personal hygiene.

We are able to accommodate individuals who are incontinent, who wander, and those who may have behavioral challenges.

With our safe and secure activity rooms and our quarter of an acre, park-like yard, we offer our clients a sense of freedom and choice – which reduces frustration and agitation. All activities are modified to foster the experience of success at each individual's own level. Intergenerational activities with the Rosa Elena Childcare Center offer unique opportunities for interaction and connection. The complete freedom of movement afforded by the Activity Center's environment has proven extremely beneficial to our clients.

Services are available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The extended hours offer families the opportunity for 55 hours per week of respite care, supporting the working caregiver. Daily attendance ranges from 65 to 75 clients.
